LOCATION: Shakopee, MN

HOURS: Full-Time, Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 10:30pm & E/O Saturday & Sunday 8am - 4pm

JOB SUMMARY: As a Lead Direct Support Professional (Primary Program Counselor) with Thomas Allen, Inc. you will have the primary responsibility of meeting the individual needs of the clients by providing support, guidance, training and supervision. You will be assisting clients with daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation, budgeting, and medical needs. Program Counselors accompany clients on a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, and shopping.

This home supports 4 high functioning DD Female Clients. Age Range from 21-51. Experience with Autism Disorder, Dementia, and Mental Illness a plus! Typical weekday evenings involve transporting clients to YMCA and other local area activities and athletics with Special Olympics. This is an active bunch of ladies!


* Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs.
* Ability to attend to personal cares, household cleaning, meal preparation, and health needs
* Positive Attitude and compassion desired
* Clients prefer females
* Ability to stand on feet majority of a shift and go up and down stairs throughout shift, as needed
* Background clearance
* Valid driver's license, acceptable record and insurance required
* 18 years or older
* Ability to effectively communicate in English, written and verbally
