Ensure that a full breadth of EAP Core Technology services are provided to each USPS district and its employees. Assumes overall responsibility for marketing the program within their district. Provides EAP brief counseling services. Provides consultative services to union and management representatives. Provide: case management, critical incident responses and training to the USPS. Collaborates with the National EAP Consultants to increase service scope, awareness and availability of services.
Provides short term, solution focused EAP counseling directly to clients in the EAP, incorporating solution-focused brief therapy skills and advanced chemical dependency knowledge. Services include assessment, referral (assuring linkage), brief therapy, case management, and follow-up as indicated. Provides services as an agent in the Virtual Call Distribution System.
Maintains clinical documentation and administrative paperwork according to account expectation and program standards, including distribution of Satisfaction Surveys.
Interface and provide consultation to top-level points of contact within the Postal districts (both union and management representatives.).
Functions as the Magellan main point of contact on site for the USPS providing core EAP technology- education, needs assessments and consultation relative to EAP service.
Conducts in person onsite marketing to all areas within their district. Provides orientations and health and wellness presentations to management, union leadership and front-line employees. Requires comfort with public speaking and flexibility in responding to requests.
Coordinates and provides EAP response to critical incidents and follow up activities related to any incident. Requires flexibility in responding to emergent situations.
Communicates with Regional Supervisors and National Consultants sharing information regarding climate awareness received from supervisors, managers and union personnel.
Partners with DAC's (District Advisory Committees) and participates as ad hoc member. Maintains in-depth knowledge of USPS structure, benefits, culture, climate, Employee Assistance Program goals, and other needs. Provides consultation, support, and participation in the delivery of management/union/advisory committee initiated EAP promotional activities.
Develops and maintains positive multi-level relationships with Human Resources, EEO, Medical, Benefits, Safety, Labor Relations, unions and the Work/Life units
Retrieves, analyzes, and communicates data to USPS regarding EAP services.
Collaborates with Service Center staff and CISD team as needed.
Provides 24 hour per day, seven day per week availability in order to respond to emergencies as needed; and work off-site as needed.
Participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources and provide appropriate workplace linkages.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requires excellent organizational skills to effectively manage EAP services in district, comfort with public speaking and presentations, flexibility in responding to high-profile requests and emergent situations, the ability to incorporate input from a diverse work group in implementing services, knowledge of multiple account nuances and benefit structures and plans, knowledge and expertise in solution-focused, brief counseling, knowledge of substance abuse issues, knowledge of and expertise in providing consultation, and computer proficiency and typing skills. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications and business travel and flexibility in traveling to locations within the district.
Licenses, Certifications, etc.: State Licensure at independent practitioner level; CEAP Certification preferred.
