JOB TITLE: HVAC Stages I, II, & III STARTING RATE: D.O.E. (HVAC I, II, & III) MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver's License, DMV Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old), and EPA certification if required. JOB SUMMARY: Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of computer including all Microsoft Office applications and be willing to learn HVAC related software. Is customer service oriented to fellow team players and vendors alike and compliant with all aspects of OSHA. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: All Stages: Perform routine and preventative maintenance. Analyze system to determine cause of problems. Monitor operation of systems continuously. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management. Stage I - Filter Changer: Replace filter or repair with specific parts for individual problems. Stage II - HVAC Helper (EPA Type I): Assist HVAC department by ascertaining specific parts as needed for each job, changing filters, and performing routine maintenance. Stage III - Technician (EPA Type II): Must know all aspects of HVAC equipment and the maintenance of it. Engage in all phases of installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and air-conditioning systems. Have working knowledge of welding. CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS: Keep property climate controlled to ensure customer satisfaction and retention Take ownership and 'It's my job' attitude to complete each project Foster positive interactions and trust with internal and external customers. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in undesirable conditions including extreme heat (exceeding 120 degrees) cold, wind and rain. The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, glasses, hard hats, gloves and boots. Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to second hand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
