• Charged with creating and maintaining an exceptional guest experience, including but not limited to communicating with customers in a friendly and respectful manner; engaging in restaurant cheers and celebrations that create energy; building personalized meals fast, friendly and with flair; anticipating customer needs; and addressing customer questions and concerns • Adhere to and maintain operational standards and guidelines, including food quality and safety, individual/team safety, cleanliness and sanitation • Comply with all Company policies and procedures • Keep assigned areas clean and fully stocked with product/supplies, this may include areas such as the dishwashing station, kitchen, grill, food/services lines, and tortilla station • Assemble, maintain, clean and store cooking tools, utensils and equipment for daily business (including correcting and reporting issues) • Properly use and operate equipment and utensils including but not limited to grills, comal, 3-compartment sink, stove, knives, and thermometers • Work alongside fellow kitchen crew, including line cooks, dish washers and prep cooks to meet daily goals • Communicate with and treat others with dignity and respect at all times • Correctly prepare, portion and build meals according to Company recipes and standards • Monitor food prep and cook times, temperatures, and flavor to ensure proper cooking, texture and consistency • Call for product and/or communicate food orders to other team members, this may include setting the pace for the entire kitchen or service line • Complete all required record keeping including but not limited to food logs, waste sheets, and food prep sheets • Appropriately mark, wrap, store and bag products for use/storage • Ensure all prepped items are rotated for use using the FIFO (first in, first out) method • Properly follow product reheating and cool-down procedures • Successfully complete applicable shift responsibilities and other duties as assigned by the manager on duty • Must be at least 18 years of age • Prior food preparation, knife skills and/or cooking experience a plus • Exhibit good interpersonal and customer service skills • Able to work in a fast paced environment and maintain energy and enthusiasm at all times • Strong attention to detail; able to consistently follow directions, standards and recipes • Comfortable working in varied temperatures, humidity and dampness from production area • Able to work in an environment that may contain dust, fumes and/or sanitation chemicals • Able to multi-task and focused on getting the job done the right way always • Able to lift/operate heavy machinery • Able to stand for 8 plus hours • Able to lift and carry at least 60 lbs Kitchen Crew Team Members are responsible for creating our masterful meals and Delivering our One of a Kind Food with Energy. These roles are responsible for consistently adhering to recipes and maintaining food safety and quality.
